Found in a Ribbesford, England, cemetery:
Anna Wallace
The children of Israel wanted bread,
And the Lord sent them manna.
Clark Wallace wanted a wife,
And the Devil sent him Anna.
Every marriage has troubles and conflicts. The main reasons are not those usually used such as money, sex, interests, personality, religion, etc. The main problem we all face is the wide differences of ideas, needs, preferences and goals between a man and woman.
Differences, there are many!
However, few marriages ever get so bad that the bitterness is placed on the tombstone.
This level of anger, bitterness and rancor indicates pain and unforgiveness so deep that deep, unconscious, unremitting, rancor has destroyed the soul! Such a state did not occur overnight. It may have begun in childhood rejection or abuse and grew to the point of no return because the woman in question refused to allow Grace to invade her heart and soul.
As Hebrews 12 says
14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy;without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
Bitter, unforgiving people cannot have peace. Not all of them end up like this desperate soul but many do.
Today, allow God's Amazing Grace to clean up your demand for justice. Allow the Holy Spirit fill you with love and kindness.
