How is ISIS like the Early Church?

Why can't western powers just go over and stop the Islamic State? Because it is a government that is spread out through self governing Cell Groups.

See that term, "SELF GOVERNING"?

Each cell group decides what murders to commit. They do not rely on orders from a central location, although they have central leaders. It is like the Early Church. They had a central book but no Pope in the Early Church.  A hierarchy came about in AD 350!
