In the last post I mentioned that many of us came to faith at a revival or at least revived era. Many came to Christ during a time the church called a "revival" so we have nostalgic reasons why we want to see it happen again.
The second reason is different. It is theological and spiritual not emotional. Many think we need a revival to bring positive changes to America and the world. We want to see people repent and change their ways.
I want that. I want to see the MAPS, Modern American Pagans, come to Christ and repent. I want to see abortion, pornography, crime, greed, etc swept away by the Holy Spirit.
Is revival the best way to accomplish that goal? I don't think so. Tune in tomorrow for my rationale.
