A Powerful Reminder of the Past, Present and Future

This is a heart warming and transforming video of a few seconds without a word being said that touches me deeply. It was developed as a commercial but promotes great values not just products.

Americans are very blessed. i did not have any control about the parents I have or the country in which I was born and have citizenship. That was God's grace for which we have no explanation.

Some Americans react with anger and resentment about the blessings of America. Our wealth, freedom, ability to worship or refuse to worship all bring agony to them and some attempt to change our country and make it like other less blessed places.

Not me. I am very happy to be born in a nation where, although poor and sick I was able to get an education and do very well because I could innovate and create wealth. I do not want to kill America but pass its strengths and blessings on to the world.

I do that by teaching people in over 100 nations how to live in peace and prosperity with their families and neighbors. Freedom within leads to freedom in relationships and freedom in politics and work. Inner, spiritual death leads to physical, relational and political destruction.

As an educator, I want to learn how better to share my values half as well. Everything I teach and write has these themes. Pass it on. (See my web for great materials, cheap as eBooks on PDF.)

Feeling Thankful for America

There are many ways to be thankful for America. Serving in the military is one way and serving others professionally is another. Doctors, nurses, teachers, and others in the service professions all serve. It is a mission and calling.

Another way is to show our appreciation symbolically. Take a look at this symbol and see if your pride swells.

When I chat with my friends in Russia or read about the Middle East I am so happy to be blessed by being born and reared in America. I don't blame illegal immigrants for coming here. I know why they do.

I wish we could take all 6 Billion poor people in and feed them. But, i fear that would kill America. America is generous, kind and caring. I wish all nations were as well.

Prayers for Russian Friends

I chatted today for over an hour with one of our many friends in Russia. They are very concerned about several things politically, spiritually and financially. I am asking you to pray for the LR Ministry.

I cannot use names because of the current oppression of Christians in the Russian Federation.

1. Pray for safe travels of the team. They are traveling internationally as well as nationally.

2. Pray for upcoming church training workshops on evangelistic outreach, marriage and family life.

3. Pray for money to fix their car. It is necessary to travel from church to church in a 100 mile radius of the city.

4. Pray for money to print discipleship materials.

5. Pray for the health and welfare of the team members as they work and volunteer to spread the gospel.

6. Pray for our friends in Ukraine where war is raging. Our people are trying to minister spiritually and emotionally to the casualties.

Is America Immigration Hurting the Poor of the World?

I have often wondered how people can argue that we do not need strong borders. They say that we are selfish and mean if we insist that we will not take millions of poor people and help them out.

Is that true? Are we selfish to close our borders to the hungry and poor who show up here desperate for assistance?

Why do other rich nations have closed borders? Are they more selfish than we?

Look at these data and see the future! The elderly will be getting care at home with a relative. Retirement Homes and Nursing Homes will be overwhelmed by the Boomer population getting old and young couples NOT having babies. 

By 2020 there will be only 2 workers for every i retiree!!!

Lowering Medical Costs? How?

The numbers of persons in America suffering with a severe disability is growing. It is growing at the lower ages and at the higher ages. American medicine is amazing because it has dramatically increased the ability of young babies to survive despite many problems while at the same time helping all of us to live longer than ever before.

But there is a cost to better medicine. Some of the survivors require a lot of care and nursing. That is very costly financially and in family pressure. The government is going broke so younger people may not have anything left in retirement accounts when they are ready to stop working.
And, we must find alternative ways to support disabled people.

Our new organization, Patient Home Advantage, is doing just that. We have carefully researched the issue and come up with tools that enable agencies and families do more with less.
