I read a great article several years ago written by Ralph Winter, the great missions thinker. He asked why so much training of missionaries and the ministers who took over the new churches on foreign soil were so poorly equipped. Then Ralph gave his own answers to that question.
After 30 years of reading that article I do not remember the details but I do remember the gist. The Wrong people are teaching the Wrong people the Wrong stuff.
