Facilitating Great Groups

The Ways of Winning in Small Groups

Surrender the battle for control and fight a successful battle for order. Gary Sweeten

Many group leaders attempt to deal with immature, broken or untrained group members with confrontation, interruption and healing. Others simply allow the dysfunctional member take over the group process. This is disastrous for the person, the leader and the group. Develop and educate members about a consistent flow or group process and remind them of it every time you meet. It will be the group’s skeleton.
