Glenn Beck's Gospel
Glenn Beck is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He is a Mormon. Is it possible for him to speak truth about God and salvation or does his membership in a cult place him outside the veil of telling the truth?
Last Saturday, Mr. Beck spoke to some 500,000 people on the Mall in Washington, D.C. Some Christian leaders are angrily denouncing his calling us to "Return to God". They suggest that we ought not join Beck in talking about salvation and repentance because he is a Mormon.
What do you think?

Wow - a "voice of one crying in the wilderness"? Yes, "but he's not wearing the right clothes, doesn't belong to our denomination, etc."!!
While I haven't followed Glenn recently due to other life priorities or read the details of Glenn's gathering in DC, I have followed him since before he went "national" on CNN, etc. I find it interesting that apparently some "heard" him call us to "Return to being a good Mormon" and not "Return to GOD". I'm inclined to believe he has a good heart and sees the solution to most problems in the USofA as a return to God, however one understands Him. As a self-disclosed former alcoholic he has admitted he comes from the AA "higher-power-as-you-understand-Him" perspective morphed with his Mormon family heritage. Is he saying "Return to God" via Joseph Smith? I don't think so. Is he planning the next Return to God rally at the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City? I think not.
I remember hearing how some folks didn't listen to Paul Revere when he said the British are coming . . . it was a Sunday night and they were having a mandatory Revival meeting at Baptist church in town and, well, even knew Paul was a Deist!!
