Root Causes of Chronic Poverty

With Baltimore and Ferguson in the news daily, we have heard many comments about the causes and cures of poverty and violence.

Research on these things have been clear for well over 50 years but their implications do not fit well with the current PC approaches. The cycle below illustrates a typical cycle of chronic generational poverty.

These cycles must be broken and a virtuous cycle developed if individuals and families are to prosper. Any program or charity that does not focus on breaking the vicious death cycle of poverty will hurt the poor not help them.
